Venus Ritual Anointing Oil

Whether you need to practice more self love or you have your sites set on romance, this beautifully fragrant anointing oil of Venus is a great addition to your craft and altar. This oil contains rose quartz to promote self love and essential oils of ylang-ylang, rose and jasmine, which are all divine oils to inspire amorous intentions for oneself or others. Jasmine and rose are both aphrodisiacs and are sacred to  Aphrodite, goddess of both love and beauty. Ylang-Ylang is a luxuriously sensual oil from south east Asia. According to Filipino folklore a young maiden whose name was Ylang-Ylang was forced into chastity, however her beauty was so great she attracted a mate regardless. When he tried to touch the maiden she was transformed into the flower. While we wouldn't wish this fate upon any person we did want to honor the folklore of the flower as it speaks to its alluring nature.
